October surprised us with huge, unprecedented snowstorm. These are some pictures I took during and after the storm at our log cabin in New Hampshire. We got 2 feet (61 cm) total. According to the Boston Globe online edition, a National Weather Service forecaster expressed astonishment at the magnitude of the storm. “Fifteen thousand years ago, in the Ice Age, I’m sure they had more snow,” said Bill Simpson. “But for the modern day, this is unbelievable.”
