Cast off I heard my spirit sing
Though many stood beside me,
Voices echoed within the walls
My presence appeared to hide me
My soul felt the coldness
Of the varnished floors perfected
Yet not anothers' step came close
To the image I projected
Many times before I had stood alone
Hearing the mummer of voices filling space
Walking quiet, my spirit rested
Excepting its time, excepting its place
Fulfilled from a deepness within
My soul shall stand time and time again
Encountering the coldness of varnished floors
Boastfully polished and imprinted by man
